Meet the IADD Team

This workbook has been prepared for you by compassionate experts who have seen the impacts of identity discrimination and who know the importance of preparing for final arrangements. Both are professionals with experience in pre- and post-deathcare and are active and vocal advocates for equality and inclusion.

Both Tee and Matt can be contacted for consultation with individuals and funeral homes regarding planning and inclusive practices or to discuss an individual’s experience with the deathcare industry.

We can also provide workshops on identity-affirming deathcare directives and provide referrals to identity-affirming grief support resources in Central Florida.

“When i first started in the funeral industry, i immediately researched how diverse identities experience deathcare. It is clear that we need to address service gaps to ensure every identity can be authentically honored. That’s how the IADD project began.” -t.

Tee conducted surveys, focus groups, and other research for a year to build meaningful content that would provide a tool to alleviate some of the identity-related challenges people face in the deathcare industry. She continues to learn, listen to stories and experiences and will release new editions of the workbook and other resources as needed.
