Meet the IADD Team

This workbook has been prepared for you by compassionate experts who have seen the impacts of identity discrimination and who know the importance of preparing for final arrangements. Both are professionals with experience in pre- and post-deathcare and are active and vocal advocates for equality and inclusion.

Tee Rogers is a funeral, cremation, and cemetery preplanning professional, educator, celebrant, and co-creator of the Identity Affirming Deathcare Directives.

Her work focuses on helping people make informed, personalized decisions about deathcare while ensuring that identity, relationships, values, beliefs, and wishes are respected throughout the planning process. She has a particular interest in improving deathcare experiences for LGBTQ+ people and people whose Religious, Secular, or Spiritual Identities (RSSI) may not be fully represented in traditional planning conversations.

Tee is a National Funeral Directors Association Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), CANA Certified Cremation Specialist, InSight Certified Funeral Celebrant, and Humanist Celebrant. Her professional and community work includes consumer education, advance planning, older-adult advocacy, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and education for professionals who serve diverse individuals and families.

Her approach to deathcare is grounded in autonomy, dignity, inclusion, individuality, and informed choice. Through IADD, she works to give individuals practical tools for communicating who they are, who they trust, and how they want to be authentically remembered and honored.
